The dreams of fritz is here, and it is fire.

This game feels like it pulls small new differences from the traditional yume nikki formula, but never goes to far from the path.

This will forever be the crazy greyscale art DDJ game.

Can definitely agree to this being your most traditional YN fangame so far, lots of paralleled settings and motifs to the original! Would say the most appealing part of this entry is the feeling of progression it has,  it isn't necessarily linear but once you notice the placement of visions and remember the greater layout it feels like there is a gestured order to everything, both for the gameplay and the story here, which i think works to its benefit to still deviate from the original.

Also found the secret effects, cute

gave it a whirl, normaly im not so great with these kinda games. so far its fun, just wondering how many forms are there and is there any kinda hint as to find em? asking as the worlds are frusteratingly huge which would be my only complaint as they are easy to get lost in... not listing what ive got as i think it would be a spoiler.

I will be adding a progress graph once I figure out how I can seamlessly incorporate it, there are 9 visions in total and two secret ones but I don't count the secret visions as required to complete this version!

welp if the instructions count then i got 9. from the plot threads ive seen so far cant help but feel bad for the poor racc...

edit found the last one, wonder where the secret ones could be? thanks for making this.

Hey, I just tried your new game Rye.  Great first impressions as expected.

But I found glitch at the balcony.  You can turn right before door and pretend to be a huge monster terrorizing the town below.

COWER IN FEAR, MURDERER BY NIGHT!

haha yeah, I expect there to be a few collision checks that I'll have to fix. Glad to hear you enjoyed the game!

Yeah I am.  But I just found out you can open the inventory on the title screen.  I doubt that's intentional.

Thankfully an easy fix, thanks for letting me know!

I really like your game! was it inspired by "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" by any chance?

It absolutely was! I took a lot of inspiration with that film and other forms German Expressionism arts like it.
